Service Learning

A graduation requirement that formalizes a connection between the classroom and community, students live by creating a meaningful learning opportunity. The Service Learning experience culminates with a 30-hour service project, research paper, and exit interview. Through their individual projects and working with community partners, students understand the rights and responsibilities of civic life and employ the skill of effective civic participation. Students who complete 60+ hours are recognized as Service with Distinction.

A list of community partners is available to view here and is also available in the Student Services Office.

Grades 9 – 11:  Students will begin and complete their community service hours.
Grade 10:  Students will write a paper in Civics or Pre-AP US History class as well as create a web page.
Grade 12:  Late spring, students will participate in an exit interview.

Print this form for documentation of your service hours.
