Yellow Tulip Group
Yellow Tulip Group is a group of students who work to break the stigma of mental health at OHS. They bring awareness to various issues and support students who are struggling with stress. We encourage people to join our meetings as a safe space to come, relax and share. Yellow tulip was started Nationwide as a program to help with suicide awareness by spreading the message of hope to people. Our group continues to spread the message of hope at OHS through various projects that we do each year. Students pick the projects we want to work on. Some of the projects we have done over the past few years include:
* OHS Mental Health Wellness Day for the entire school
* Bathroom posters
* Planted 100 tulips for our HOPE Garden
* Do lunch sticky note activity to ask students "what they want to hear" and "what they wish they could say"
* Did a "Put mental health in the dog house" dog walk
* Create fidgets and bookmarks to give to people
* Organized and held a school wide club and group fair
